Photo: spletnik.ru 32-year-old Nadezhda Tolokonnikova decided to put up for auction... a bottle of your own blood! However, the lot, called Drink My Blood, includes not only a bottle of Nadezhda's blood, but also a bloody document on her release from prison in 2013, as well as a previously unreleased pussy Riot recording called Anthem ("Anthem"). Nadezhda herself calls this lot a conceptual work of art, reflecting the cruelty of the prison system and conveying the experience of the pussy Riot members working in labor camps during the two-year imprisonment period. For example, during the sewing of police uniforms due to the fact that safe working conditions were not maintained in the prison, Nadezhda was often injured - hence the blood. The members of the group Pussy Riot gained worldwide fame in connection with the criminal prosecution for their performance on February 21, 2012 in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior of a punk prayer service called "Mother of God, Drive Putin Away!". Almost immediately after that, all the members of the Pussy Riot band were arrested, while Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Maria Alyokhina were sentenced to two years in a general regime colony, and Ekaterina Samutsevich managed to get off with a suspended sentence. Subsequently, Nadezhda and Maria were released in December 2013 under an amnesty on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the Constitution of the Russian Federation. © sigma-z.ru
